A Travel Guide to Amalfi Coast

Amalfi Coast Town

The crystallized blue sea, sheer cliffs, grand villas, the trendy boutique shops, and pastel colored umbrellas. The Amalfi Coast is a coastline stretched for about 50km.  This small village yet vibrant town has so much beach style ambiance. It is built with narrows roads and stairways, various steps with major cliff side views.  Amalfi Coast is known for walking various pathways and steps. You will definitely be breaking a sweat but the views are simply worth it.

I stayed in Amalfi for a week, and traveled to visit other nearby towns, such as Capri and Ravello. Navigating Amalfi was quite simple, you can use their public transportation, which is very easy to navigate or depending on your needs rent a car. The easiest way to get to Amalfi is through arriving at Naples. There is a ferry, taxi or private car options. Renting a car does allow for time freedom, without having to depend on public transportation. This will depend on your budget and time of travel.

June through August is their high season, keep that in mind as prices will shift. I went in August but the weather was just perfect! I do recommend to pack light and convenient unless you are staying in a front ocean hotel. Otherwise, you will have to carry your luggage up the stairs.

Here are a few of my recommended hotels:

Hotel Santa Caterina

NH Collection Grand Hotel Convento di Amalfi

La Bambagina

Stroll through the town and check out Duomo di Amalfi, a medieval Roman Catholic Cathedral in the Piazza del Duomo. Alongside, you will be so many restaurants, boutiques and of course the ocean.

Have you visited Amalfi? Is it in your bucket list?
