Puerto Vallarta

The charming town of Puerto Vallarta has so much to offer. Puerto Vallarta has something to for anyone with any particular style of life. The town is filled with so much vibrancy, ambiance, friendliness, culture and appreciation.

The best way to explore the cultural town of Puerto Vallarta is definitely by walking. You will encounter so many cute boutiques outside of El Malecon. El Malecon Boardwalk is situated parallel to the beautiful and crystallized coastal beach, accompanied by so many restaurants, museum, coffee shops, tequila shops and boutiques.

Aside from exploring the cobblestone town, you can also bask in the stunning sun and catch a tan anywhere along the beach. If you are staying in a beachfront hotel or resort, they offer umbrellas and lounge chairs to help you enjoy your beach outing. The hotel has their staff attend hotel guest beachgoers and you can order drinks while you are tanning or reading a book. My stay at Los Arcos Beach Resort offered so much and they were very much accommodating.

The resort showcased young talent each night. From folklorico to Mariachi, every night was energetic and so much fun. The all-inclusive resort was also a centralized location in Zona Romantica which is steps away from the boardwalk and pier.

Zona Romantica

It is such a cute and trendy walk. Here, you can explore different quaint cafes with different atmospheres. You will definitely find your preferred café depending on your lifestyle. Walking along, you will see Lazaro Cardenas park which hosts a cute farmer’s markets during the spring and you will find so many artisanal finds such as fruits, baked goods, handmade jewelry, candy, chocolate and so much more.

Walk further into the Puerto Vallarta neighborhoods and you will encounter Isla Cuale. It is a quiet and tranquil oasis in the middle of downtown Puerto Vallarta.  There lies The Cuale River, which is one of the 7 rivers that begins in Sierra Madre and ends in Banderas Bay. The river sections into the downtown North area and Zona Romantica. There is a hanging bridge that passes over and allows pedestrians to walk into the street as well.  Also, you can walk alongside the vendor walk path and you will see so many cute shops, sculptures, art, museums and restaurants. If you can, stop by Le Bistro Restaurant as it will allow you to fully capture a piece of the land and all of its nature beauty.

I highly recommend shopping at Casa Oaxaca. It is the cutest, most quaint yet modern boutique shop selling crafts and textiles. I had the pleasure to feel and observe this unique boutique. They make anything from bedding, pillowcases, blankets, rugs, tablecloths, to wooden coffee tables. The colors were vibrant yet subtle and inviting. You just need to add a piece of there textile into your home.

Tequila Tour or Cultural Tour

Out of all the things they offer to explore. I much rather explore the history, culture and the significance of the town. There is so much culture to discover that either a tequila tour or a cultural tour can satisfy this need. Depending on which tour you decide to take, they will discuss with you how native people interact. It makes one appreciate the love poured into the process and fulfills the enjoyment of relishing into the local culture. While also enjoying the culture or nature views, with food or tequila.

Nature Wellness

Aside from beach lounges in the coastal beaches of Puerto Vallarta, take an adventure to either go off roading, biking, hiking or walking in the beautiful nature. You will see so much nature beauty, from jungle vibes to hot springs to mountain views. My Deztination has a great blog detailing and offering the best places to hike while also exploring hot springs and private swimming. Take a day to relish on other things that Puerto Vallarta can offer, such as panoramic views, private beaches, coastline trails and so much more. Also, I highly recommended reading The Culture Trip as they share other fun and cultural things to do while in Puerto Vallarta.
